This is it! This will be the last update from Singapore. I am packed and ready to return home. Time flies when you are having fun and this has been a really memorable trip to Singapore.
Today was set aside for some family time, but I got more than I expected. I got a chance to meet up with some more people I have not seen in a very long time. Oh, and I got to eat more food again. Eating is the national past time of Singapore and I think I over extended myself this trip.
Started the day accompanying my mum to a dentist appointment. She had to have a filling done, so Amarise and I came along for support. We then headed to the church to meet my dad and Philip for lunch. Philip is an old family friend and someone I have a lot of history with. He is an old time pastor/missionary/teacher who communicates in the Chinese language.
After lunch, we headed back to the church where I helped some of the staff with a minor project. It was my last chance to say good bye to the staff. We then came home and I started packing while my mum prepared dinner. My cousin Steven and his family came over for dinner. It was a great meal my mum made. After we were done, my sister and cousin decided to call one of our old friends from the church whom I have not seen in years, Thomas and Matilda. We all used to hang out quite a bit when I lived here. Matilda is due to give birth any moment now, so it was cool to see them. The both of them are flight attendants for Singapore Airlines, so they travel a bit. I was glad to be able to see them this trip.
Now, I am sitting here just typing this out before I crash for the night. I have to be at the airport around 11 am in the morning for my flight home. Not too excited about the long flight but I am looking forward to the cold weather and snow (hopefully).
Good night Singapore!
