Wednesday

The week is moving fast! Wednesday came and went pretty quickly. I started the day only with dinner plans, so I decided I would message my high school friend Jeanelle to see if she was available for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised that she changed some of her plans and was available to meet up.

I have not seen Jeanelle in a few years and now she has a new addition to her family, a beautiful baby, Faith. It was so fun to hang out and catch up. I am glad we got the opportunity to do it.

After roaming around for a bit in town, I made my way to meet with my elementary school friend, Regina. She wanted to take me to a international buffet restaurant, where seafood was a main staple. At first the thought of buffet sounded really good to me, since I love to eat. However, I think my body is starting to shut down from all the food I have been consuming. When I saw the food and started eating, I almost all but lost my appetite. I felt quite bad, so I tried my best to keep up.

It was fun to catch up with Regina. I appreciate that we've been able to stay friends since we were 11.

The coolest part of the evening came at the end. I took the train/subway back to my parents place. As I was exiting the station, I noticed this lady in front of my that looked really familiar. I couldn't confirm from looking at her back and part of her side peripheral. Anyways, I waited till she started walking away and I was sure that it was who I thought it was. It was another old childhood friend from church, Rhoda! It was so awesome to see her.

Rhoda's work schedule is usually from 3pm to midnight; however, she had a day off on Wednesday and she was out shopping. She called our meeting a God-destined one because she at the time we met she is usually at work and even if she wasn't she commutes by taxi and a chartered ride home, so we would have never ran into each other at the train station.

It was great to see Rhoda and it had been a while since we caught up. I regret not taking a photo with her to remember our visit. I think I will have a chance to see her and Daniel (her husband) again this week.

It was a great Wednesday. :)
