What a full day it has been today! First off, we had one of those Northwest weather patterns last night into this morning. The wind blew, the hail came, the rain was present and finally it just snowed like crazy. I reckoned I got about 6 inches at my house - crazy!

Well, the day did start really early as I was asked to be an adjudicator for the Northwest District (A/G) Youth Fine Arts Festival; as such I had to be at a meeting at 7:30am. It is actually a fun day because you get to see a lot of youth from all over the state come together to showcase their talents. It is also an opportunity for people like me to meet up with old friends.
This year I got to adjudicate Percussion Solos and Rap Solos/Groups. Fun times! Here are some highlights:

After a long day of presentations, I went over to the Chens for dinner. I was excited because we have usually have a good spread when I come over for dinner and Aik and Lily are good cooks.

The menu tonight was Poh Piah - the Chinese version of a wrap. It is very delicious. Also we are going to do a really belated Chinese New Year Celebration by have a traditional dish called "Yu Sheng."
