Tonight I got to play for The Lateshow. I was asked to play because some of the guys were trying to get the "old band" back together for a night. You see, a few years ago, there was a few of us that used to play for worship together as a band. Those were great times! So, when the opportunity came up to do it, I said yes.
The coolest thing for me was not only getting to play with these guys, but to remember the good times. I have known all these guys since they were in high school. It is weird to think this or even say it, but I was kind of a "hero" to these guys back in the day; mostly because I played drums and percussion. Now, all of these guys have come into their own and have developed into good musicians themselves. It makes me proud! I am glad I had a part to play in their lives and continue to do so. The best part is they keep me on my toes because they still look up to me in some ways and I have been able to help support them in other areas of life. They have also become some of my closest friends.
So, here's to good times...
