Friendships

To quote a line from what would be considered a classic and timeless song: "Friends are friends forever, if the Lord's the Lord of them..." - as cheesy as it is, I think there is truth to it.  It is great to know that I have friends who enjoy life together and more importantly are passionate about Jesus.  And it is because of that reason, we will be friends no matter how far about we live from each other or if we pass on in life.  I think that is pretty neat.

About 10 to 11 years ago, there was a bunch of us that were blessed to be able to work together for a couple of years at a church.  It was one of the most fun working experiences I have had.  I think most of us would agree that working with good friends is the way to go.  Anyway, tonight we had a little reunion.  One of our friends, Amy, and her family, came home for a visit and we managed to pull the group together to have a meal.

It was a blast to see everyone together again.  It is also kind of interesting to see most of group married and have kids - the next generation of friends, hopefully.  We have all shared a lot of great memories good and bad together.  I am very thankful for these guys, many of whom have been a part of my life and have helped me develop as a person.  I thank God for my friends.
