God is good!
I just spoke with my mum and she gave me some good news. After my dad's surgery, the doctors attached a heart monitor/pacer to my dad. They wanted to keep track of his heart beats and whether he was responding to the surgery. Everyone was a little disappointed because the last few days, my dad's heart was still being erratic. They had scheduled to do the defibrillator procedure to try and shock my dad's heart back into "rhythm" - unfortunately his blood was too thin to carry out the procedure so they had to postpone. Once again, my family and the doctors were disappointed at how it was turning out. After another day of waiting, they were finally able to carry out the "shocking" procedure.
After the procedure, they continued to keep the heart monitor on him. Once again, after checking the readings, my dad's heart was still behaving erratically. The doctors again were going to convene to discuss what their next steps were going to be. Then it happened! God took over and the supernatural happened. Within a 24 hour span, the doctors came in to take a reading from the monitor and found that for that 24 hour period, his heart beat in rhythm and normally. Praise Jesus! I am once again amazed at the hand of God and how He works. His timing is impeccable. Just when everything seems to be a failure, God shows us how great and powerful He is; and our trust in Him is never unfounded.
In case you are reading this and your faith is wavering or you are trying to figure out if God is even there, let me assure you that He is. He loves you and He cares for you. Put your trust in Jesus and call out to Him. He is a faithful God and never changes nor does He fail. As a family we had complete trust in God and we knew He was in control no matter the outcome. We continue to trust Him for miracles.
Please do continue to pray for my dad. The doctors are going to continue to monitor his condition for the next few months but we are rejoicing in the what God has done.
Thank you again for your prayers!
