Today I left Seattle for Colorado Springs for the Enter Worship Conference. I have been looking forward to this trip and I am excited to be here. I am here with some of my closest friends (Craig, Peter and Aaron) and it has been a blast!

As with seemingly most of my recent trips, there's a interesting story to start the trips. Of course there is the working late at night to finish my work for the rest of the week so I can leave peacefully for the trip. We had a delay in our flight leaving, I think it was some mechanical problem (I wasn't awake enough to listen to the explanation). We finally took off since we were so late in leaving we touched down in Denver at the time we were supposed to be boarding our connecting flight.
We basically had to rush the door of the plane as soon as we can and wouldn't you know it, our departing gate was as far away from the arrival gate as can be. We proceeded to speed walk/run to our connection. Fun times! We made it eventually and so did our baggage.
Colorado Springs is a beautiful city. Flat, so you can see for quite a distance. The weather was nice and warm in the evening but it got cooler quite quickly. Since we were traveling all day and the airlines doesn't provide food these days, we were starving by the time we got here. So finally stopped at California Pizza Kitchen for a good meal before we checked into our hotel. We then had to take off for the evening service.
New Life Church is hosting this conference and what a church it is! This place is massive! For all of us (except Craig), this is our first time here. It is a cool venue and definitely a great church. The service was awesome! Ross Parsley, the music pastor, led most of the worship along with the guys from The Desperation Band. It was a much needed worship time for me (and I suspect for the other guys too). The atmosphere was very comfortable and God was definitely present. After worship, Pastor Ted Haggard (senior pastor of the church) spoke. The message was very timely and powerful. He talked about the difference between living life with a "Tree of Life" attitude versus a "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil." It was a great message.

After the service, we checked out the stage and all the other "gear" they had in the church. Wow! Sweet stuff! We also hung out a little with Lincoln Brewster's road manager, John, and he told us about a dessert at PF Changs. So, we proceeded there after we were done with our "tour" of the church. It was a great way to end the evening.
Well, I am beat and we have an early start and a full day ahead, so I am going to peace. Until tomorrow...PEACE.

Whoa! You could feed the population of a small third world country with what it must have cost to build that place!
