Snow Day!

We just experienced our first snow fall this winter! I love the snow! I woke up Sunday morning and quickly ran to window to check the weather conditions. The forecast was for snow but it had not started when I went to bed. As I peeked out of the blinds, I saw WHITE! Yes, it was snowing! It brightened my day!

Well, since it was Sunday, my next thought was on no, how am I going to make it to church. I just went ahead and drove slowly. It was a great day at church and it was so pretty out. The snow stopped for a little while in the afternoon and then it kicked up again in the evening and just dumped. It was so cool!

This morning (Monday) I tried to drive to work and was unsuccessful. I skidded off the road while trying to turn on to the on ramp of the freeway. Thankfully the car behind me managed to avoid hitting me and I was able to stop before hitting the ditch. I was able to back out of where I had landed. As I made the turn on to the freeway, I saw cars and even trucks with 4-wheel drive in the ditches. Everyone was driving slow and it was like a party with all the lights flashing from the state patrol cars! I decided to turn around and head home because I didn't want to risk driving 11 miles to the office.

It is actually quite fun to work from home once in a while. Even though I am stuck behind my computer but it is a nice environment. I am all dressed for work and no where to go.

I absolutely love these snow days (except for the sometimes treacherous driving). Thank God for snow! :)
